"Windows WON'T Activate After Clean Install FORMAT Error 0xC004C003", Installed Windows 10 on my Win 7 home 64 bit pc (this is my secondary work pc). I upgraded using the Get Windows 10 app that have notified me today. The installation worked, but I never had a chance to choose "KEEP NOTHING" and do a clean install, and I felt that the system move slow, so I decided to do a "clean install" by doing a reset. I went to: Recovery > RESET > KEEP NOTHING > remove everything and clean drive. It was stuck at 48% for over 4 hours so I did a hard-reset. Then a pre-windows screen came up and allowed me to do the reset again. This time I picked: "keep nothing" > "remove everything" only. The installation was stuck on "RESETTING WINDOWS 1%" It remained on 1% for about an hour, I checked online and saw that some people report disconnecting the DVD drive will help. So again I force reboot the pc, disconnected the DVD -but then an issue came: "cannot find operation system". After trying everything, I realized my system was wiped out, and I decided to do a CLEAN INSTALL using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool from the MS website. I made a USB Flash Drive media file, boot from it, and installed windows 10 successfully. During the installation it asked me 3 times to give it the Product Key, which I obviously never had. But I read online that even after format+clean install using USB drive - Windows should recognize the system automatically and activate: But what I feared happen. Windows just won't activate at all! I installed the Win 10 "PRO" 64bit, it could be the issue, but I doubt it since it suppose to be free anyway.. Try changing timezone to the same it was before but still fails: "this product key doesn't work..." Error code: 0xC004C003 I looked online and saw that "Error code: 0xC004C003" is very common, but no one has a solid solution.

There are more than 80% people in this world who are using Windows systems. Yes, Windows systems are really powerful and easy to use. It sets nearly all default settings for users, so people don't need to set them one by one. Here comes a big problem: among these users, most of them don't know how to change Windows settings to meet their own special requirements.Reinstalling Windows may not lead to permanent data loss. Lost files can be recovered with data recovery software unless the lost files are overwritten. If you want to recover lost files after reinstalling Windows, please stop using the hard disk and make sure you do not save any data to the hard disk, as this would cause data to be overwritten and permanent data loss. Once the data is overwritten, it is little chance to recover lost files after reinstalling Windows by any data recovery software.
